This gave Nate Strine idea to start an online store. What started as a conversation over beers with some friends, has quickly grown rapidly into a destination online for clothing ugliest holiday. The Ugly Sweater Shoppe is an upstart online retailer with some of the most interesting, obsolete and potentially ugly sweaters to reach the second-hand market. According to the Shoppe co-founder, Nate Strine, the company’s mission is simple: to ensure that every shirt sold is worthy of being the ugliest sweater in any holiday function.

While the idea itself is not new, Strine sees the promise and comfort of a unique online destination devoted to discussions season badly. “We launched 12 October 2010, as a side project to see what happened and to see if we could create a social buzz,” said Strine, who owns On-Target Design, a creative print, video and web design company based in New Albany, Ohio. In four weeks, his upstart has already generated a stream of viral traffic across the United States and in nine different countries.

“I have a sense of humor,” said Strine. “And apparently so do a lot of other people, and we are discovering that they are really interested in fashion show off evil holiday, and as a gag or as they themselves don white elephant gift for someone else.”

“We were recently approached by a national distributor of beer needs a large amount of ugly Christmas sweaters for a way to make their annual holiday party,” said Strine.

It ‘s like offbeat niche that bad Sweater Shoppe hopes to fill by providing a fun and cost-effective platform for those who want to dress your ugly sweater party. “We scour the racks Thrift Store so you do not have,” said Stine. “We believe that you’ve got better things to do with your time.” Strine has assembled a loose-knit team of buyers who shop for sweaters, jackets and accessories holiday. Current situation amounts to 400 products and continues to grow every day.

It also has banking operations in the Internet Retailer Magazine revealed in October when a poll shows that 44 percent of consumers aged 18 and over will shop online for holiday items this year, compared with 42.4 per cent last year. “The holidays are about good times and good friends, but the holiday party circuit can get pretty boring,” says Strine. “We believe that an ugly sweater from Ugly Sweater Shoppe can provide instant cheer to any holiday party.”
